Do I need a permit for electrical work in my home?

Most of it, yes. Panel replacements, service upgrades, new circuits, and rewiring generally require a permit and an inspection. We handle the paperwork and coordinate the inspection as part of the job, so you are not the one standing in line at the municipal building trying to explain what a subpanel is.

How do I know if my electrical panel needs upgrading?

The house usually tells you before an electrician does. Breakers that trip when the microwave and the space heater are on together, a panel with fuses instead of breakers, no room left for a new circuit, or a service rated at 100 amps in a home that has since added central air, a hot tub, and a garage full of tools. If any of that sounds familiar, a 200 amp upgrade is worth pricing out.

Can you install an EV charger in my garage?

Yes. A Level 2 charger needs its own dedicated 240 volt circuit, and whether your existing panel can carry it depends on what else is already on there. We check the panel capacity first, tell you honestly if an upgrade needs to happen alongside the install, and price both together so there are no surprises after the charger arrives.

Will rewiring mean tearing my walls apart?

Less than you are picturing. Rewiring an older home usually means strategic access points rather than gutting rooms, and we plan the route to minimize repair work before we cut anything. Where patching is needed, we handle it, because we are a full remodeling company and drywall is not somebody else’s problem.

There had previously been water damage, and when we moved in, there were just bare walls and a toilet in those areas. All plaster had been knocked out, there was no trim, the bathroom door didn't even close, let alone lock, and only the toilet existed or worked. All Services fixed our open electrical connections, put in drywall and trim, primed everything nicely, and installed a sink, cabinet, and shower for us and got all the plumbing hooked up properly. They did extra touches like getting our bathroom door to work properly, they were punctual, friendly, and polite, and they ALWAYS cleaned up after the work, something we have not always seen from other workers. They were even extra careful to watch for our little escape-artist pets and not let them get out when bringing in supplies or going in and out to saw wood. We worked with many different people during our project for the different  plumbing, dffy walling, electrical, and other aspects, but we especially enjoyed working with Aaron, who was a constant throughout the whole project and kept things moving along.
